Products are the new substances formed when a chemical reaction completes. Atoms from the reactants rearrange their bonds to create products with different chemical properties from the starting materials.
In a word equation, products appear on the right side of the arrow:
Reactant → Product A + Product B
Example: In magnesium + oxygen → magnesium oxide, magnesium oxide is the product.
Products of combustion typically include CO2 and H2O.
